MS symptoms: Benefits of Using a Cane

SprinkerA few days ago my husband and I blew out the lines of the sprinkler system as we prepared to return to our Alaskan home for the school year. As he ran from one location to another I sat at the pump on my seated cane sending the air down the lines. I love my cane. It is light and handy, helping me to conserve energy when it is needed elsewhere. I use it to lean on when standing for prolonged periods of time. It is a seat when there are none to be had and my body calls it quits at inopportune times. It allows me freedom to participate in activities in life that would otherwise be unobtainable. I believe in reaching my full potential each day whatever that might be and however I need to get there.
