As a teacher with multiple sclerosis I found myself laughing at the oddities MS brought to my life and classroom. I was always good for a strange combination of words. All of the words of the sentence were there but not necessarily in the correct structure. Sometimes I said a word with the sounds out of order. Students regularly filled in the missing word as I lingered in a pause. It almost became a game of who could say the word first. I used to think, “No one could make this stuff up!” We had fun with the challenges I faced. It brought pauses of amusement and laughter to our classroom and put smiles on our faces.
Happy birthday to me!
