MS symptoms: Waking Up is Hard to Do

MelissaJosie2010Laying in bed having to get up and not wanting to…dragging myself out of bed… feet on the floor… my day has begun. Sound familiar? Many years ago I was able to turn this scenario around through stretching and deep breathing. When I stretch for a few minutes in bed and take several long deep breaths I find the blood flow gets going bringing oxygen to my brain and body thereby waking me up. Now it is so much easier to swing those legs out of bed, place those feet on the floor with enthusiasm, put a big smile on my face, and begin humming through my morning rituals.
