Received my annual MRI results and was pleasantly surprised to learn I had no new MS progression in the past year. This is good news since last year I dropped my Tecfidera dosage in half to 120 mg twice a day with the blessing of my neurologist. Given my low white cell count and the excellent MRI report, I decided to cut the dose again to 120 mg once a day. This is not protocol nor is it endorsed by my doctor but it is my body. I worry about taking medication that does not have a significant track record to indicate long-term risks. I have always needed less medication for pain and other ailments to achieve similar results of a full dose in other people. Therefore, I feel the risk is worth the gamble for the next year.
